Through her years of experience the common thread that ties her work together is story. Her early work focused on telling stories through the art of mapmaking. Creating visual narratives of data to assist communities in their social change efforts. From here she began using qualitative data to help organizations and communities with program design, data collection and analysis and process improvement.
She co-designed and taught a college-level course using story as a tool in helping students uncover their personal narratives of health and healing. Currently, she is using digital story-telling to breathe new life into the often dry world of data and statistics.
Her formal education investigated the overlap between environmental issues and human health resulting in a Masters in Environmental Studies degree. Additionally, she is certified as a Nutritional Therapist Practitioner and holds a certificate in Generating Transformative Change in Human Systems through Pacific Integral and The Leadership Institute of Seattle.
